PP Cotton Pre-Filter Cartridges

If your water tends to run cloudy, gritty, or carries visible sediment after storms or line work, a PP cotton pre-filter is the first line of defense before it hits your other filtration stages. It's a simple mechanical step that helps protect the parts of your system doing the finer work of taste and odor reduction.

How it works

The cartridge is wound or layered polypropylene cotton that works like a fine sieve, physically catching rust flakes, sand, silt, and other particulate as water passes through before it ever reaches your main filter media. That mechanical straining keeps sediment from coating or channeling the carbon, KDF, or other treatment stages further down the line, so those stages can keep doing their job of reducing chlorine or odor at full capacity for longer, and it helps prevent grit from building up in aerators and showerheads.
