How it works

Inside the filter, KDF-55 media and a calcium sulfite blend work to reduce chlorine and chloramine in your water supply, while also cutting down on rust, sediment, and some heavy metals as water passes through on its way to your showerhead. Because your skin and hair are exposed to less chlorine with every rinse, many people in treated-water areas notice their skin feels less tight and dry, and hair feels a little softer to the touch over time. This filter is built to reduce chemical and particulate load in your water, not to soften hard water, so if calcium and magnesium buildup is your main concern, it will not address mineral scale on its own.
